CLIA partner co-hosted a side event at Palais De Nations, telling the Chinese stories on promoting SDGs

Beijing Children’s Legal Aid and Research Center (BCLARC), partner of Child Law International Alliance, co-hosted a side event with Chinese NGOs on “NGOs promoting SDGs: Chinese Stories” at Palais De Nations, Geneva, during the 43th session of the Human Rights Council.

On the side event, panelists from China NGO Network for International Exchange, United Nations Association of China, Beijing NGO Network for International Exchange, China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation, and BCLARC shared their stories in implementing the Goals and targets of SDGs.

BCLARC has been promoting child rights since 1999. It provides child with free and high-quality legal representation and consultations and conducts policy and legislation advocacy on child rights, and promotes the engagement of lawyers in child protection. Its works implements target 16.2 and 16.3 of the SDGs. In 2011, BCLARC was granted the Special Consultive Status with ECOSOC, making it the first Child Rights NGO in China to have the status.
